Summer Secrets- Clampless Curling Wand

Swag Out!

Just like how the various sizes of curling irons create a different look, same goes for the clipless curling wands vs curling wands with the clip or clamp.  For me the clipless curling wands are easier to use especially if you are new to curling your hair.  You manually wrap your piece of hair around the curling barrel instead of worrying about adjusting where the clamp is then rolling your hair.  When you are dealing with the clamp, depending on where you place it on your strand of hair, sometimes it leaves a little kink.

I find that the curling wands with the clamp give you a more structured curl as it curls your whole piece of hair right from the top to the very end.  To avoid such a structured look if you use a curling wand without the clamp, it gives you freedom to decide how much of that strand you don’t want to curl.  If you leave a bit of the ends uncurled the overall finished look will be more natural looking.

I have been using the “Infiniti YouCurl” curling wand by Conair to create the perfect beach wave.  After curling my hair, alternating the sections making some larger than others, I gently brushed out the curls to give it more of soft wave instead of curl.  In the photo beneath this post is a photo of what my hair look looks like after I gently brushed out the curls.

Disclaimer:  This is the first clampless curling wand I have ever purchased so in terms of comparing it to any others then I cannot give you any advice on that.  However I have read many  great reviews on it.  One thing that I would categorize as a con with this product would be that the on and off switch button is right where I hold the handle.  So just be aware that there is the chance you may accidentally turn it off.  I am not affiliated with Conair and the product mentioned in this post was not sent to me for free.  All opinions are my own.
