Swag Out!

For all of my Canadian bloggers this post may seem a little odd considering the weather outside but this Coconut Oil tip is surprisingly fitting.  Coconut Oil has many beauty benefits but the latest one that has been my favorite is to use it as a moisturizer.

To get the most out of this beauty tip, apply the Coconut Oil after you have taken a shower or bath.  Applying any form of cream or oil at this time is always best because your skin is damp and able to capture and lock in all the moisture.  With this product, less is always more.  Do not use an excessive amount at a time or else you will be left with a greasy consistency.  By using too much, it will leave no room for the Coconut Oil to sink into your skin.

Applying this oil gives me a couple minutes every day to daydream and escape to a tropical and sunny island.  Cheesy I know.  But come on, if you had four more months of cold and snow to deal with, you would do anything to maintain your sanity as well.

In the winter season as the temperatures change drastically our skin takes a harsh toll.  This is usually when I switch my daily moisturizer for something heavier.

Coconut Oil is easily accessible as it is found in most grocery stores.

It’s a cheaper alternative to most creams.

It is a multipurpose item as it can be used in the kitchen for cooking or for other beauty benefits.

Disclaimer: Coconut Oil is safe to those who have no known allergies to the product as it is all natural.  However if you are unfamiliar with it, please be careful when using this product whether you are digesting it or using it anywhere on your body.  Even though you may be able to digest Coconut Oil, in some cases it may cause an irritation on the skin.  If you are unsure, test on a small area before using it all over your body.
