DIY: Sugar Lip Scrub

Last minute date and need a quick fix for your lips?  After the winter season, a lot of us suffer from dry lips because of the cold air and wind.  Here is one of the easiest but most beneficial “Do it Yourself,” recipes that I have ever known.

Mix a small amount of sugar into a container with a few drops of Vanilla to add flavor and taste. Rub the mixture on your lips as a gentle way to softly scrub the dry skin off your lips.  Or for a  more intense lip exfoliate, then take a bit of the mixture, place it on your tooth brush and scrub your lips.

After you’re done you can either wash off your mouth with lukewarm water or lick it off since it is made with all natural ingredients from your kitchen!

Now take your favorite chap sick to moisturize and you’re good to go.

There are a variety of these recipes online and on YouTube that you can check out as well.  Most of them call for essential oils to help moisturize your lips (and to add a nice scent) so you don’t need the chap stick at the end.  However after trying out a ton of these lip scrub recipes, I came to make this one because I found that it was the easiest to prepare since these were already ingredients I found in my kitchen and therefore didn’t need to go out and buy anything extra. So if you find yourself running around trying to get ready and prep for a last minute date or outing then try this super easy and quick lip scrub.

Disclaimer: I did come up with this sugar and vanilla recipe on my own, however I DO NOT claim to have invented it.  There are countless recipes for lip scrubs online and after trying out many of them; by either following the recipes step by step or mixing and matching different recipes, I decided that these two ingredients were the only ones I needed because it worked for me.
